Out of the many arguments against Daylight Savings, the most relevant to me is that pets don’t understand it. So now I have a cattle dog about to crash out for not following the routine.
A red heeler dog with upright red ears and a freckled face is all up in your business next to a white cushion on the pale blue chair you’re sitting in. He cannot manage soulful eyes, so he is grumbling at you instead.

Scandinavia has so much public art and it really is a joy to find something that fits your vibe at the moment.
The sculpture Red Dante aka Fuck-Q Plaza in København. It consists of four boars in trenchcoats forming a square surrounding four columns supporting four screaming busts. In the center above everything is a giant hand giving the middle finger.

It was a bit early for flowers but I did find one, and the pinecones were delightfully twisty and my shooting group had a good coach in the form of Arthur the terrier mix.

Arthur, a small gray and tan terrier, hopping down from his owner Marrisa’s shoulders while she is crouched down in front of a deer target. She has brown hair, fair skin, wearing a black shirt and gray pants, and is holding a red and black longbow and pink water bottle.

We also took photos of bark and bugs and branches.
The interior of a piece of bark chewed by termites. It looks like intentional art or secret glyphs. A small scarlet winged insect crawling on a fallen log. A dark burgundy twisted manzanita branch with brown and green moss and lichen growing in a split.

A LOT of good mushrooms to photograph. I was shooting with fellow longbow wood arrow archers, and we would seriously drop everything to take fungi photos.

Lots of ruffled shelf like gray fungi climb up a tree trunk. A pile of giant dark orange Western Jack’o’lantern mushrooms next to a stump. A small gray terrier mix dog and the legs of a fellow archer are in the background for size reference. A lone yellow western jack’o’lantern mushroom sits tilted on its side amidst leaf litter. Nearly everyone at the shoot took a pic of this guy.

Thanks to the recent rains, there were lots of good mushrooms to photograph.
A clump of straw colored coral tooth fungi in the middle of leaf litter. A nice bunch of hairy curtain crust aka false turkey tail mushrooms. They are ruffled, dark brown edged with yellow and white. They are growing out of a stump covered in green moss. Possibly a silky pinkgill mushroom. It is grayish brown with a white rim. The cap is slightly domed but mostly flat. Some type of gray polyphore mushroom rippling on a tree trunk.

My club stayed in a cute farmhouse with shy sheep and lovely sunsets.
An old cream-colored farmhouse sits in the middle of a lawn with some oak trees nearby during golden hour. The sun is setting behind a barn and paddock fences, painting the sky gold against the dusky blue. An attempt of a photo of sheep through a fence. Made vegan millefeuille nabe for a dinner party tonight. Said dinner party solidified my auntie/cousin status of friends soft launching their relationships before larger group introductions.
A Dutch oven is filled with ruffled layers of Napa cabbage, orange carrots, purple daikon, and aburaage tofu.
