My company recently unveiled in-house AI tools. Management's encouraging everyone to use them (to justify the probable eyewatering costs)

A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.
I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?

If you’re not up for the whole Thanksgiving thing, that’s okay. There’s been 2 deaths and 1 TBI in my family in the last 8 weeks plus my own health issues. Not to mention the exhaustion from the state of everything. I can’t be arsed to make a turkey Thursday. Lasagna is as good as it gets.

Evergreen reminder that if the DC phone isn’t taking voicemails or calls, try the local office (5calls.org can help). CA folks, Schiff’s DC line was still taking voicemails, Padilla’s was not. I had to call his SF office to leave a VM.

Evergreen reminder that if the DC phone isn’t taking voicemails or calls, try the local office (5calls.org can help). CA folks, Schiff’s DC line was still taking voicemails, Padilla’s was not. I had to call his SF office to leave a VM.

When a teenager puts even the slightest effort into their costume, the genuine joy and surprise they express when you recognize their costume is the best. The cosplay kids especially so, since they don’t expect a normie crone to know anything.

Made it back home with absolutely no thanks to AA who says 85 minutes is enough time to transfer through customs at JFK. All due credit to the wheelchair assistant at JFK who practically sprinted with my mom through the hallways, insisted on security fast lanes, and got us to the gate in time.
