🚨 Another massive AWS outage just took down Roblox, Fortnite, Coinbase, Snapchat, and all Supercell games.

Half the internet has gone dark because of one Big Tech company. This is not innovation, it is monopoly risk.

💡It’s time to choose alternatives.

Protests against the Iraq war in 2003 mobilized millions + the war still happened. What's needed is for people to move from creating passive, viral moments, to getting involved in grassroots organizing + mass direct action.

We have to be the sand in the gears grinding down the machine.
One thing about getting older is that feeling like every few years we have the largest peaceful protest in history and then everyone goes home and the thing we were protesting against happens anyway
Viewpoint: Why Was the Biggest Protest in World History Ignored? | TIME.com
Ten years ago today, the world saw what was by some accounts the largest single coordinated protest in history. But why was the antiwar movement ignored?

We are still waiting for an explanation of how the labour government will ensure that "those who want to work should be supported so that they can do so" while cutting the benefits that support disabled people to work.

BREAKING: The scene at the Rayburn Building is pure rebellion. Protesters are swarming in during live hearings on Medicaid cuts.

Security’s losing control. Because when the government wages war on the poor, the poor fight back.

I’m deeply concerned about what might still be on the table in future UK–US trade deals—and without proper parliamentary scrutiny, we can’t be sure what’s being traded away. From digital protections to tax policy, these decisions must be open, transparent, and in the public interest.

Happy 99th birthday to the man who gave voice to the wild. 🎉

Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace.

You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.

You can’t fix the NHS without fixing social care.

I challenged the government to stop outsourcing leadership and start showing it—by bringing parties together to deliver long-overdue reform. The crisis in social care is a political failure, not a policy mystery.

Now Government’s own impact assessment shows no real evidence to support their argument that nature is a blocker, I look forward to ministers reversing their proposals that will trash nature protections …
UK government admits almost no evidence nature protections block development
Whitehall analysis provides no data or research to support the government argument that environmental legislation holds up building

This exchange is so very telling.

Trump repeatedly claims the photoshopped MS-13 on Kilmar Abrego Garcia's knuckles is real, Terry Moran keeps telling him it isn't, prompting Trump to say this:

"I never heard of you. I picked you. You’re not being very nice. He had MS-13 tattooed... Just say yes!"

This is the kind of documentary you have to make your uncle/aunt/colleague/friend who still thinks "it's complicated" watch. You may know all of what's reported here already, but there is someone you know who needs to see this because they'll only hear it from someone like him. That's your mission
For those of you who may have missed Louis Theroux: The Settlers on BBC Two last night. Or can't access the BBC iPlayer. Here is the full documentary on how Israeli occupiers view the Palestinian West Bank currently.

Tony Blair Institute report criticising the drive to Net Zero is a decidedly odd dossier. We won’t halt climate breakdown *without* phasing out fossil fuels & to suggest solution lies in more nuclear & carbon capture rather than renewables is costly & misguided

Former PM claims net zero policies losing public support and says there should be greater focus on carbon capture
