Before WWII, 4-6-2 crews on the Western Maryland were allowed to decorate their engines any way they saw fit; this is one of the most extravagant examples. K-2 Pacific #201 decorated in all sorts of colors, flags, and even antlers!

Possibly the fastest locomotives ever built, the Milwaukee F7s. Sometimes scheduled in a fashion that resulted in them going faster than the official record holder for fastest steam engine, doing atleast 130mph in comparison to the 127mph of Mallard.
