I wish I knew this sooner.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you press and hold the space bar on your phone keyboard, sliding your finger will control the position of the cursor when you're editing text

Getting sick of seeing payment plan options, loans, and credit cards everywhere.

"Spend money! Spend more! You don't have enough to afford? Spend it anyways! Infinite growth must be fed!"

It's predatory and disgusting. There's a massive debt crisis being swept under the rug right now. I hate it.

“Have Yourself A Merriam Little Christmas”

Merriam, a career-oriented lexicographer from the city, returns to her small town for the holidays and meets Webster, a ruggedly handsome librarian, who shows her the true DEFINITION of Christmas.

Feels like I've gotten to the point where, no matter how much time I take off work, I never quite feel like I've fully rested/recovered/relaxed before I have to go back.

I want this moment for us
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

I stayed up too late playing Dragon Quest XI.

Work is going to be a slog today.

There's no such thing as measuring cheese. Follow your heart. You can never have too much cheese.

I'm glad we've been released from the tyranny of measuring cheese!

(Side note this thread is hilarious and now I need to make this)
Remember your corn? Sprinkle your grated cotija (or crumbled feta) on it as soon as it’s out of the skillet and let that cheese get melty and coat the corn as you stir it up. How much cheese? YOU DECIDE. I release you from the tyranny of measurement!

Yup. Adding this to my wishlist and looking for it next time I'm at the book store.
Are you mad at billionaires? Me, too. That's why I wrote this book about punishing them in inventive ways.
Guess why it's called Guillotine.

Whisper in the Wind by Luke Arnold was an incredibly good read. The Fetch Phillips series is fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Arnold's ability to weave societal commentary into this fantasy-noire world is fantastic. A book that's intriguing and funny but can make you self-reflect as well.

Feels like I've been riding the burnout train since May. I can step off long enough to catch a quick breath to sustain with a day off here and there, but never long enough to start recovering.

Need more vacation time and the world to just chill for a fucking minute, gawd damn.

Been having health issues this year so I've had a lot of appointments, tests, and scans.

Every time I have to deal with insurance and billing departments I get more infuriated.

If I don't stay on top of this stuff they'll gleefully make mistakes to their benefit and not refund me 😤

Everyone has those word mispronunciations or weird pronunciations that they just hate to hear (Like "libary" instead of "library")

The two I hate the most are:
- "Fuhstrated" instead of "frustrated"
- People who pronounce "industry" as 'in•DUHS•tree' instead of 'in•duh•stree'

Driving me insane.

Every once in a while my brain will just randomly go "Hey you wanna hear Jeremy by Pearl Jam?"

And then I have Jeremy stuck in my head until I get the chance to listen to it.

One Foot in the Fade by Luke Arnold.

Another fantastic Fetch Phillips novel. Full of questions of morality and gray areas. Self-reflection and character growth. Plus a fantastic commentary on modern times weaved into the story.

The ending hit especially well. I'm excited for the last book.

Listening to Clancy and Breach over and over until my fiance gets absolutely sick of them.
Forever looping the Twenty One Pilots albums Clancy and Breach because I can.

I think center mass is my favorite song on Breach so far.

Realized I haven't updated my currently reading/playing in a while.

Almost done with tomb raider 3, but I've mostly been playing Ghost of Yotei nonstop since it came out (so freaking good).

Finished up the iron druid Chronicles and just read Annihilation.
