We're fostering kittens for the municipal animal shelter where I volunteer. They are Problems.
Butternut, a small orange kitten, making a face as he discovers that water is wet. Kabocha, a small orange and white kitten, sleeping in my lap. Kabocha (orange and white) and Acorn and Butternut (two identical orange kittens) crowding into each other's space for dinner.

On my walk today I saw this black cat in a window next to a cat statue... I immediately ran across the street to get a better picture and realized there were TWO, and one was homophobic!!

Drove to Jersey City on a whim because there's a painted bunting hanging out on a feeder abuting a cemetery. Anyway I love birds.

Look at this nubby little nerodia I found on my bird walk!

It took three hours of hiking through brambles and fording FOUR!!! sections of flooded trail but I got my lifer northern shrike!
