In 1969 the voting age was changed from 21 to 18. As a 16 year old, I thought this was a bad idea. I didn’t feel that in under two years I would know enough about politics to vote. Then I heard a friend’s aunt say she wouldn’t vote for that Enoch Powell “because he was letting all the blacks in”!

That means a huge chunk of the world's wealth is based on "stranded assets" - fuel that can’t be used without killing billions, destroying the liveable Earth, and thereby destroying the economy too.
