You can use ether a store-bought dried mushrooms package or those you picked and dried yourself (have a load of those in the oven right now, will share the “how-to” later)

We were able to get half-a-dozen of fresh oysters today for a good price!Sunday appetizer recipe: shuck 3 inexpensive beach oysters, drizzle with freshly squeezed lemon juice & drop half a teaspoon of your own salt cured salmon caviar in each. Enjoy!

We are in #caviar heaven! got a few pounds of fresh salmon roe from a local fisherman -20 CAD/ lb- a fraction of store-bought. Salted, cured and stashed in a freezer. Getting ready for holiday season - caviar will be served on fresh oysters. Recipe here:

1st, we went lobster mushroom hunting.
Then we got some nice basmati rice from a friendly Iranian shop next door. Then we splurged on good butter.
Then … the magic of #risotto making began!

Labour day weekend lunch: gazpacho!
Ripe roma or field tomatoes, red onion, sweet bell peppers or pimentos, large cucumber, garlic, a few spoons of olive oil, a bit of wine vinegar (Jerez!), salt/pepper. Try various proportions. Blend, strain, enjoy!

⁉️🍽️ #foodies, help! We are Ukrainians -so we are hoarders! 🤣often we make more #jams #pickles #preserves than we and our friends can manage to eat. Should we sell our jam-excess? We looked at a local farmers market… so time consuming so slow… online shop??
