Pure art. It’s sometimes hard to get past the style but it really has a true artist’s touch in the way this whole movie is made. What an ending.

Absolutely a masterful film. Period piece with horror and music oozing from the very heart of it. I can’t get over this. Also please stay for the credits scenes. It’s worth it.

The trailer felt much more straightforward tone-wise. Still, I’m kind of won over by it. Amazing puppetry and visual look. Some strange moments. It almost feels awkward as if Wes Anderson played straight instead of whimsical but by the finale it pulled me in well-enough.

This was so sweet. Benji’s outgoing lively personality is just like a cousin of mine. The familial bond between him and David feels so grounded and we’re given moments to glimpse what this trip means as well as what they mean to each other. Let’s us feel a lot without overstaying. ❤️

Brutal but this was the most satisfying revenge film I’ve ever seen! Not morally black and white but the violence is so earned right up til the end.

Fantastic! Jack Lemmon, who I’ve never watched before, is so incredibly likeable. With an ending that has me beaming ear to ear. I can see all the love. 9.5/10 for me.
