Finally watching Mulholland Drive. I’m a big David Lynch fan but for some reason I’ve never got round to watching it.

I’m also on my own tonight, is this going to be a big mistake?

I love reading Python code, and I have learned so much from going through the Requests, Flask and pyca/cryptography repos. This is a really interesting readthrough of one of the stdlib modules that I wouldn’t ever have considered.

Listening to “the rest is classified” on Edward Snowden, and I know one of the hosts is ex-CIA but I’d stupidly hoped for a bit more objectivity

Reading Nightmare Before Xmas to my daughter before bed is always a joy, but I just cannot get “Macabre” and “job” to fit, without putting on a strong American accent, anyone else faced this problem?

Absolutely fantastic new epsiode of scwpod.bsky.social with @justinschuh.com and @matthewdgreen.bsky.social discussing (sometimes combatively) whether Dual_EC_DRBG was intentionally backdoored or just broken.

Alain Delon was a ridiculously handsome chap wasn’t he? I came across him in a wiki-wander and laughed out loud when it came to “Children: at least 4”

Let’s face it, NG has not written comics in a very long time. The new Miracleman reads like the new issues have been by largely by Mark Buckingham. Sandman and a few miniseries here and there just aren’t enough to say he’s one of the best British writers ever
Testing something Andrew O’Hagan just asked.

Name the three best British comic writers….

Please reskeet for wider circulation.

Reminder that Aaron Swartz was facing 35 years in prison and financial devastation for trying to programmatically download and open the contents of JSTOR, which led to him taking his own life.

But OpenAI is going to scrape all of academia and make billions by plagiarizing it.
