Serious question here...who are these "alpha men" trying to attract with this cultivated look? Because speaking as a hetero woman, it is NOT a look this has any appeal

I mean...I think literally everyone feels this way about doing our jobs right now? At least for those of us who don't have jobs in government, public service, essential services, etc.

And yes, the PR industry does have a code of ethics. Good practitioners take it seriously. Unfortunately there is a huge population of people who make their careers doing just the opposite

So if you do PR in any capacity, you monitor all these feeds super closely and offer up your client/CEO/yourself. If you're doing so *ethically* (like I preach) you of course disclose your affiliations.

(of course, a serious journalist should also do their own vetting)
