As a Canadian, I just can’t understand why Democrats are so unpopular in the US now. I mean the choice is between a fascist dictator well on his way to destroying the country and sane adults supporting democracy on the other. How is this a choice that anyone struggles with?

Yet another shooting in the US today. How sad this is normal for children -active shooter drills, school shootings. When will Americans act to stop this? You’re the only country in the world with this problem. Why is the gun culture more important than lives? Glad my grandchildren live in Canada.

Here’s the key difference between Prime Minister Mark Carney and piffleswipe Pierre Poilievre, one that Canadians seem to recognize: the PM is always acting in good faith, whether or not one agrees moment to moment, whereas the piffleswipe is always acting in bad.

As a Canadian, I find the idea of gerrymandering and redistricting kind of ridiculous. How is it allowed to draw maps to benefit one party or another? I can understand needing to redraw maps occasionally to keep balanced but it should be done without even consider considering how voters might vote.

Am I just overly cynical or is the ploy to ask the court to release the Grand jury materials a ruse? The media seem to be taking it at face value that Bondi & Trump are doing this legitimately. I disagree. Their plan is to then say the courts wouldn’t let us, mark my words. It won’t satisfy anyone.

When I wrote this after the election, I had no idea just how bad it was going to be. Thinking they would just be hassled for their papers but left alone if they were documented was very naïve It seems. No one is safe even American citizens.
I don’t think any of the Trump voting POC, whether or not they’re immigrants realize what’s coming when the mass deportations start. Are they OK with carrying proof of citizenship or immigration status everywhere, being constantly asked for it, & treated as if they don’t belong? This will be messy.
