Ahi ahi mārie Whānau. Day 3/4. Some dramatic breaks in the cloud cover.

Reboxing some of the sewing stuff I have been given (went through the other week). This one piece is the only single large piece of this shiny satiny stuff I've been given.

Can't help but think "Mrs clause corset?" When I look at it.

Right box isn't all zippers but top 6" is zippers

Tried another Tin of fish today. This is Provençal style mackerel in tomato sauce with vegetables (including turnip).

I heated up the tin with hot water from the kettle and put on my sourdough.

It's really really nice. I'll definitely buy this tin again (alas forgot to get a picture of the tin)

None of you should really be surprised that I have two additional monitors hooked up to my laptop on my desk.

Anyways, here's my current suite of wallpapers.

Today's loaf of sourdough.

As usual, I didn't get a lot of up in my oven spring. Next time I'm going to just leave the lid on and see if that helps.

Not totally displeased. Is a good start considering I've not made sourdough in months

One of my chores for today

My view for the last hour.

Haven't moved in an hour.

I am really annoyed about wasting the gas. It's below 0 so can't turn off the car

This week's fougasse and pasties. I slightly overcooked the pasties unfortunately. But only slightly

This week's fougasse, about to do the final proof

Olives, anchovies, capers, sundried tomatoes, Parmesan.

2/3 strong bread flour & 1/3 barley flour. Don't think I've ever tried baking with barley before.

One of the perks of running into town.

But I need to get home after this and start cooking.

Sewing store was too busy to chat sewing but they have some interesting patterns.

Women's garments and style is so much more interesting than men's.

But I'm thinking about doing the hoodie on the left in that "flannel" i found in the box- alas it's 3 yards.

Okay so did a burn test on the white stuff.

First two photos show how much of it I have. Second two are it burning and after.

It doesn't melt like I expect poly to? But the edge is a bit crispy like I expect poly.

Box 6 continued

There's a lot of this white fabric. I'm pretty sure it was used to line suit jackets or something, and it all seems to be offcuts because they're long, only about 8 inches wide and one side is irregular, but each sheet is the same.

No idea what it is or how I can use it.
