ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

Molly Reilly was the first female Canadian pilot to reach the rank of captain, the first to fly in the Arctic and the first to become a Canadian corporate pilot.
In 10,000 hours as a pilot-in-command, she never had a single accident.
This is her story.

Y’all, this is SOLID advice, I think, on how to manage big ass family events like Thanksgiving and Xmas. My family was pretty chill, but I’ve heard stories from some of y’all.

If you can’t necessarily execute this yourself this year, try to take some time to observe so you can in the future
Okay, so you cannot avoid a Thanksgiving event, and it’s not entirely under your control. You’re home from college, you live with your parents, your spouse isn’t ready to process how awful their natal family is. It happens. THERE ARE STRATEGIES YOU CAN EMPLOY TO YOUR BENEFIT.

As always, Derek Guy hits us with careful thought and observation.
A friend who teaches theology shared with me a post about CS Lewis's Mere Christianity, which discusses foundational Christian logic across denominations. It reminded me of Dale's tweet below, and I wanted to share some thoughts here regarding modesty and respectability, which are often hot topics.

Good piece. Good lessons.

"[A]t some point I found a measure of peace and discovered that happiness is a feedback loop: the happier I began to feel, the more interesting the world became – and as the world became more interesting, I grew happier and, apparently, more interesting to others, too." /1
The loneliness fix: I wanted to find new friends in my 30s – and it was easier than I imagined
It is said to be harder to make friends as you age. But I found that a mix of apps and other tools, as well as a happy attitude, led to a world of potential new pals

Also, she fully believes a cabal of worldwide Jewish pedophiles control the government. She just thinks Trump has become compromised by them. Or possibly was secretly compromised the entire time.

Look, men aren’t worried about being falsely accused of rape. False rape allegations occur at roughly the same frequency as false allegations of murder/etc., and they seem real not worried about those, even though they also wreck your reputation.

They’re worried about what they *have* done.

There was also James Macleod, Charles Best and today's subject...James Collip.

An incident in a locker room has always been key to Riley Gaines’ anti-trans fame.

But @msjpauly.bsky.social spoke to swimmers who were present at the same 2022 meet. They shared a very different narrative.
How right-wing superstar Riley Gaines built an anti-trans empire
The swimmer tied a trans woman for fifth. The MAGA industrial complex took care of the rest.

It is T-7.5 days to Thanksgiving, and if you absolutely CANNOT BEAR to make an appearance at the Racist Relative or Overbearing Inlaw table this year, and they won’t take “no, you’re assholes”, it is Groundwork Time!
Sometime this weekend, someone in your house will feel awful. There will be vomit.

Generative AI causes so many demonstrable harms, from counseling kids into suicide, stealing creative work and destroying the market for it, perverting education, and this predictable horror. Any other product like this would be regulated into the smallest possible box by a responsible society.
This is one of the worst, most horrifying exposures we have ever seen. It is hard to overstate how bad the things that people are using tools like for are, and it's insane to pretend like these tools are anything other than nonconsensual porn machines

If you invented a robot that sometimes cleaned my house really well & quickly & saved me lots of work—but *often* just moved things around without really cleaning—& *sometimes* added germs *to* the surfaces—such that just to be safe, I always had to clean after it

I don’t think I’d buy that robot
