This week I joined GRAN advocates, Interval House and the Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women at Ottawa City Hall to launch the #16DaysOfActivism against gender based violence. Let’s make sure we are activists 365 days a year and stand in solidarity to end violence against women. #EndGBV

#Orléans yesterday we passed the GST/HST tax break! Starting on Dec 14 until Feb 15th, there will be no GST on meals from restaurants, toys, diapers, clothes and more!
This will help our local businesses and Canadians to provide immediate relief for the cost of living.

Hey Canada, when it’s our turn to choose our next government, maybe don't vote for the guy who’s party might actively trample your rights and mine once they achieve power. Pierre Poilievre isn't in it for you.

Would be so cool if I didn't have to worry about my partner not having their basic rights recognized
Gay marriage is still constitutionally banned in every state that's a shade of red on this map, and those bans would come into effect if Obergefell were ever overturned.

With all the American arrow graphics, I wanted to experiment with this more.

It'll be more interesting when we get poll-by-poll, but for now, 2024 BC Provincial Election, by swing per riding.
The at large view doesn't say as much, but we can dig deeper 🧵

Why a Right-Leaning Government in New Zealand Built Bike Lanes—and Ontario Plans to Tear Them Down - Fair Vote Canada
First-past-the-post means governments can cater to some voters and ignore the needs of others. Tearing up Toronto's bike lanes is the most recent example.
