From Iowa and grandma always had a relish tray out before all big meals. Didn’t even register that she was the only one who had a specific dining set/provided relishes until this thread! I figured relish meant you “relish” the food before the real food starts

TL;DR: the *actual* poverty line in the US for a family of four with two young children is about $140,000, and there isn't much improvement in quality of life between $40K and $100K.
