October 11, 2025 at 7:06 PM

July 12, 2025 at 7:04 PM
All set up and ready for another #BlindDrams this evening

#BTC54 and we'll be Up'n Doon The Glen this time.

So hope flies in the eyes again, I think I'll be on the drams again...

A little behind but poured and ready for another #BlindDrams evening
May 3, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Ready for another evening of #BlindDrams and Jist Dae It.

These will go down as fast as the Nike share price after a day in Dunkeld!

Almost time for #BTC51 #BlindDrams as I'm counting on the "Masters of Malt" to force me to stay awake having just got home from NYC this morning.
March 8, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Almost ready for #BTC50 as I'm once again honoured to be guesting for #BlindDrams - everything poured and ready

Not tried the Rioja but have the 18yr.

Might be a night for the Pinot Noir Longrow though

Final post of #DramADay and 5 drams thanks to Bevvy at their tasting event tonight.

Lots of fun and a cracking drams. Favourite of the night was the Puni whisky from fragrant drops the Glen Grant 15

Fun night and make sure you add your whisky collection on Bevvy!

Penultimate day of my January #DramADay - was originally going to do this all year but I reckon 31 days is plenty!

Laphroaig is where so many people start their whisky journey. I did, and hated it. Now, it's one of my absolute favourites.

This batch 14 is superb too. A 4/5

Some absolutely sensational drams tonight. I've left with bottle of the Blair Athol 12 and only wish I could stretch to the Bowmore 27!

The Blair Athol was reeking of blackberries and raspberries

The Bowmore 27 was the perfect creamy smokey loveliness that Bowmore can deliver as it's best

First up a 16 yr Inchgower. Sweetness, vanilla and citrus with a touch of lychee. Two drops of water bring out the bitterness and makes it more grapefruit like.

Speyside not my thing, but it's very drinkable.

Today's #DramADay is on the road as I'm at a whisky tasting at the Windsor on Leith Walk. A smashing wee bar with a great whisky line up...what you taking from this to kick things off??!!

(Only some of what's on offer here!)

28th #DramADay a gorgeous looking Speysider

This the 5th batch, it's a heavily sherried 10 yr that carries a heavy dose of Christmas cake, cranberries, raisins and a little touch of black tea

Not typically my sort of dram, there is no denying this is Christmas in a glass. 3/5
January 28, 2025 at 10:10 PM
27th #DramADay and back on the peat with this Spey Fumare.

Feels quite Islay like. Smoke feels coastal, salty & briney. Lacks complexity but if you want something smokey this would do just fine

The bottle is ridiculous though. Pain in the arse as doesn't fit on my shelves. 3/5

Day 26 of #DramADay and this Singleton is sweet oranges, sweet almonds and a little bit of cherry too.

The low abv steals something, at a higher strength this could be an absolute cracker. It's still a nice dram and not expensive either. I like it, just don't love it. 2/5
January 26, 2025 at 9:05 PM
#DramADay 25 and finally a Loch Lomond in the Loch Lomond glass!

This is a belter. Distillery Edition 3 is a pineapple punch! It's sweet and sugary with a tropical flavour all the way through.

Even though I prefer peat, this is a smokeless smasher. 4/5
January 25, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Day 24 of #DramADay & almost forgot the pic! A bottle kill & another smokey smasher!

I really enjoy this dram. Only thing I'd say about the Uigeadail is I feel there can be quite a variance from bottle to bottle

Loads of smoke, brine, bacon, salt and a touch of toffee. Lovely. 4/5
January 24, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Day 23 of #DramADay and it's a classic!

The Glenfarclas 105 has been going since 1968. Nothing bad lasts that long...

Sweet and spicy. Pepper and nutty with a hint of honey. It's slightly bitter but delicious. At 60% a wee bit of water goes a long way.

A cracking dram. 4/5

Dram 22 #DramADay and one of my "inner circle" - a dram that I've drank at so many moments that it'll always be one I love.

Big body & peat packed. Rich citrus sweetness that makes it morish while the smoke is like that of an Arbroath Smokie. A classic. Ron approved. 5/5

#DramADay 21 and 2nd Highland Park in a row. A much smokier, smoother, sweet and complex dram than the 10yr.

Something like slightly burnt toffee, sultanas, salt and charred oak. Very drinkable. I prefer this to the 10 yr but it scores the same, a very good 3/5
January 21, 2025 at 8:42 PM
#DramADay 20 and one of the better core range supermarket options. The 10 yr Highland Park has a nice soft smoke, with a wee bit of spicy and for me subtle salty liquorice.

It's a solid 3/5 and remains one of the whiskies I'll always point newbies too. An excellent intro dram

Been doing in the bad place, so going to do here too

Day 19 of #DramADay & today it's a generous taster of the @bunnahabhain.bsky.social 21 yr 2024 edition

It smells AMAZING! Takes me back to the Warehouse 9 tasting room

Rich stewed fruits, leather, pecans, bitter orange, cranberry. Gorgeous. 5/5

On #TheTraitors they cut to this book half way through the episode. Then talk about a special power at the end...

One Night Werewolf players will know they are going to give 1 player the chance to find out the identity of 1 other player!

It'll be amazing to see how it plays out
