on facebook, I debate deep MAGA who I went to HS with. It's exhausting. Their friends pile on. Fact-based reasoned good-faith arguments are impossible. I think it is important to TRY. Further, others are listening. Maybe it helps. But I get tired & just want to block. Advice?

Not just a failure of ethics, it’s an existential collapse of institutional legitimacy. Legal systems exist to uphold justice, media exists to inform truthfully, and academia exists to pursue and disseminate knowledge. Capitulating to authoritarian payfor favor demands destroys all three.
