For me I instantly pick up the completely gibberish background noise. Like, it's complete nonsense, and yet extremely detailed, completely at odds with how an artist would normally make unimportant background details. Like seriously, what the actual hell even is this?

As far as shopkeepers go, he is probably one of the most friend shaped I've ever seen. I managed to find a (admittedly low quality) screenshot of the og for anyone interested. You did an outstanding job of modernizing it while keeping the vibe completely intact!
