Very poor planning from the club. My only thought is they must have taken the possible pay out into consideration for their budgeting this season since it was always going to be a relegation battle

In all honesty, I’m not too sure. You’d have thought if they were smart enough they’d have put in a break clause to avoid paying out even more money but right now the whole saga re. his future isn’t good for anyone involved. Never dull is it 😅

As I’ve stated, this is just an ideal scenario. It isn’t concrete. Some players will stay, more youth will be integrated and then players will come in - unless there’s an embargo, in which case the whole thing changes drastically. This transition isn’t a one-season job sadly

After watching the way the majority of those first-team players have performed this season, I’d be more than glad to see the younger players I.e. Nelson, Alves, Monga step up. Not only would fans have more patience, they would certainly care more than some of the others

Of course, this is all an ideal scenario. El Khannouss has value and in the financial mess the club is in, he will fetch money and also deserves to play above the Championship. McAteer also provides straight profit. I’d love to keep the former but I’ll be shocked if he’s still here
