I believe in our extraordinary system of government. If you put party before country you're doing it wrong. My opinions are my own.
It sucks. A new look I couldn't care less about, confusing functionality and added complexity most probably won't use.

It's a balance, really, since at the end of the day it also serves as a safety net for those who paid little (or couldn't work to pay into it). Any privatization would have to preserve the key tenets of a safety net.

Well, you'd need strict guardrails. There's a great deal of information supporting the benefit of private investment of SS contributions significantly outperforming the fund as it is today. As a contributor and taxpayer, I expect a better return than I get today.

Leaving out the post office for a moment, how would you define "privatization" of Social Security?
December 23, 2024 at 8:05 PM
Meh... I don't mind paying, say, 1% (or a performance-based fee), as long as contributors ALWAYS come out ahead in the long run. Privatization, with specific guardrails *could* work.

To be fair, most people will probably receive more from the fund than they actually contributed. I'm not suggesting it's a reason for it to be "cut" but there are potential alternatives.

Because acting like a petulant child (as Trump himself would do) sends the right message...

Oh yes! Her stomach is significantly distended, and she's clearly uncomfortable. Looks like several potty trips outside over the next 24 hours.

Just tonight... A good quantity of cat food. 🙄

I thought when I escaped Twatter, I'd likewise escape dumbfvckery like this, too. 🤪

I have to agree with the middle-bottom post. Being grape (or orange, for that matter) isn't a crime. 🤣🤣🤣

Nice try. I didn't vote for Cheeto Jesus in any of his 3 runs. Feel free to call out his lies. I'm not suggesting anyone roll over. Being less obtuse might help the cause.
November 25, 2024 at 3:30 PM
What would be your alternative suggestion?
November 25, 2024 at 3:13 PM
Yes. Every time you open a door, you lose a right. Well, except the right to own guns.
November 25, 2024 at 12:01 AM
So you're saying he could do it though... 🤪

Hey Sap!

It's worth it to see it live. No spoilers, but they do a couple of cool things that one can truly appreciate from a live show. I'm not a theater junkie by any stretch, but I've seen it 8 times now, and I'd see it again. 😉

I think I gotta go with Stargate, too.

Mrs. E and I (with other family), who are fans of the play went Thursday night. We enjoyed it immensely.

Perhaps people just want better post moderation. Methinks that author is WAY overthinking it.

Same. Must have been some goofy Canadian model. 🤪

Yep. Dad was in early IT, so we did the progression: Vic-20, Commodore 64, skipped the 128 and went with an XT, AT, 286, 386, etc...
