Proudly queer. Proudly tired. Embarassingly Gen X. Introverted in reality, but online isn’t reality, is it?

Writing, filmmaking, and healthcare are my favorite topics.

Sunset on Friday 18th December 1908. I have cleaned-up this astounding autochrome photograph of twilight 117 years ago, taken in colour by Julien Gérardin. It is an original colour plate, not colourised.

Americans genuinely don't understand how little they actually produce.
Tommy Tuberville refers to the US as "the grocery store of the world. You know, we make everything."

In the 1980s, video games let you fight Nazis but in the real world you had to maintain your house, family, and friends.

In the 2020s, video games let you have a house, family, and friends but in the real world you constantly just have to fight Nazis.

I’m trying to think of a glass half-full situation here, and all I can come up with is that I’ve seen enough Mad Max movies to know I have the wardrobe for the times.

Just a reminder that Trump tried to lie and claimed the terrorist attack on New Orleans was the work of immigrants.

Because he will jump to any tragedy with glee while distorting the deaths of Americans to push his own agenda.

This is the man we said should lead us back on November.

Happy 2025.

They need to stop the platonic male covers of “Santa Baby”.

I’m sorry, but, unless you’re obviously gonna let Santa pork you raw like Marilyn Monroe singing it, you’re not doing it justice.

Guys… commit to the material!

Everyone has their favorite Christmas movie moment. Sometimes it’s “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings”. For others, it’s the “mankind was my business” monologue from Christmas Carol.

Those are fine, but this one’s my favorite:

Whoever and wherever you are in the US, think about something you can do to support marginalized people (LGBTQ, women, BIPOC... anyone not a white heterosexual Christian man) and then commit to doing it. Small or big, your efforts are needed now more than ever.
