Shame and harm at every JobSeeker turn – and now added AI slop
The system is so convoluted and stacked against people that even if it worked as intended, it would still be not just harmful, but useless.

Politicians now think it's normal to own four houses and to buy or rent your adult child a home. Australian parliaments began as seats only for the landed gentry, and now we're pretty much there again. They're personally immune from the reality, fear, and struggle of everyone else.

Trying to imagine an angry brown guy doing this and police just going yeah, whatever.
Thomas Sewell is a very dangerous man. That he can turn up threatening the premier two days after being filmed attacking Camp Sovereignty and he still isn't arrested is quite something.

Jacinta Allan and Treasurer Jaclyn Symes were forced to flee a press conference when neo-Nazi leader Thomas Sewell appeared and shouted at them.

Australian Spy Museum's very own Spookcat got a cracking delivery today, a Soviet Agat cipher machine ;-)

In service from the late 60's to the mid 80's the Agat is another evolutionary step in cipher tech from the Renaissance through to digital.

I've also pictured it alongside our Soviet Fialka.

The Wallaroos take their revenge. Looked a strong start from the Welsh but they couldn't score. The Aussies began to gain confidence and attack, and after minute 30 it was all for the home team. A couple brain farts give 2 tries for Australia and Wales collapsed and disappeared.

The former High Court judge Dyson Heydon is being rehabilitated in some parts of the legal profession. It’s galling.

Our own university executives would do well to take note. Too often, they follow the same playbook: appeasement over principle, optics over integrity. Instead of backing their leading academics, they bend to the loudest lobbyists, silencing the very voices that give universities their value.
