Omg!!!! That’s horrific...

I fed back on how I’d never experienced SUCH a badly run programme in all my years of contracting to as many people as I could. But it didn’t go anywhere as I later met a CD who came onto it after me and had also had a terrible time.

Those lurid painted stairwells gave it a bit of a horror film feeling! No escape! On my first day found a manager who I’d worked with at GDS the year before who’d been calm and upbeat there. He was like a totally different person, practically shuddering into his laptop in a hidden away quieter spot.

I couldn’t believe the state of how things were! The digi side well that’s not unusual to find a mess, but team meetings in a loud open plan office w people constantly passing in front of DM and screen, yet team supposed to follow along. The air was just thick w panic decisions and disorganisation.

Next step: install night cam on the cat flap, though I have no idea how to do that.

Talked to a colleague about cat sleep:awake ratio, and as a result I am planning to track Hazel's activity by the half hour!

Doing it over 3 days to get chance to hit more hours. It's full of pitfalls but it may give a slightly fuller picture.

But careful streamlining. I don't know if you heard Martin but in the UK recently many families had child support cut off after going abroad on holiday – but being miscategorised as leaving the country for over 8 weeks. One family was only away 5 days.

Has the bank decided to change its terms for this kind of account every 3 years? Or more regularly? But you get to keep the terms you opened with? Don't they usually say our terms may change and we'll notify you? 🤯

Also I understand nothing about the #ContentStrategy related to this. The links go to standard 'terms and conditions' type content. It's for a new basic bank account shared with my co-freeholder.

So many questions.

Do you sometimes feel like content readability is going backwards Karl?

22 years since I started and still seeing a lot of the same woes. I blame university... in that people equate any 'serious' writing with being archaically formal and passive.
