They wouldn’t and everyone knows it.
Now might be a good time for Democrats to remind people that when they return to power they will not hesitate to prosecute people who murder civilians.

This man is a hero & I will hear nothing against him. Most of these assholes spend their time telling infantry soldiers that their blown out knees & compressed spines aren't service related & everyone else that bowel cancer at 30 is from energy drinks not contaminated water.

NEW: Income isn’t supposed to play a role in how much housing assistance FEMA gives families.

But in some North Carolina counties, the highest-income homeowners received two to three times as much money after Hurricane Helene as those with lower incomes.

Arduous and Unequal: The Fight to Get FEMA Housing Assistance After Helene
An analysis by ProPublica and The Assembly of the more rural counties in North Carolina hardest hit by Helene shows that the households that got the most aid tended to have the highest incomes.

when we talk about censorship of sex and sexuality, I'll be honest, this is the kind of thing that keeps me up at night above even my own work being blacklisted. at best right now we've got "it's okay if it's in an educational context" but who decides that, and how
tbh reposting this on here (there aren't a lot of kids on here) feels a bit futile so I just want to champion Scarleteen as a really incredible accessible resource for kids seeking inclusive sex ed (+ other stuff re: teen safety) and if you can get it into the hands of kiddos now that'd be good
LGTBQ+ youth disproportionately experience homelessness compared to their straight and cis peers. In the US, up to 40% of unhoused youth identify as LGBTQ+.

That’s why this series was created - to provide support, essential tips, and resources to youth who are so often overlooked by the system.

Coates says Black Americans have stories about relatives who were lynched or had to flee and that a life free of political violence is not in reach in his time

Klein:
"Sometimes I think that having a historical scope that wide can make the present too deterministic."

They lynched a kid last week.
This was revealing. Worth reading. The basic demand is that Coates spend less time thinking/writing his true feelings and more time playing political strategist. Klein asks him over and over him to do Dem strategy; he says no, over and over. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/28/o...

Fun fact: if the feds use your copyrights or patents without permission, your only remedy is an action for damages (not an injunction) in the Court of Federal Claims. See 28 USC §1498.

Trademark suits are possible, with full remedies available. 15 USC §1122. But rare, for good reason.

I genuinely cannot emphasize this enough.

Law enforcement manufacturing evidence and testilying isn't novel to the Trump administration. It's not even more common. They're just worse at it so they're more easily caught doing it.
Saw someone post about how it's really fucked up that we all have to speculate about whether or not the FBI manufactured evidence to back their version of events. The thing is, you should always suspect that about law enforcement—these guys are just more clown-ish and obvious about it.

Take your Kimmel protest energy and use it to freeze out that hateful JKR too!

Maybe HP was a part of your childhood. Well now it's a slap in the face and a dagger in the back of people who just wanna live.

Don't let her see a dime!
Gonna just say, if it's this easy to protest against the monolith that is Disney. Then there is no excuse for people to be clinging to Harry Potter. Like, if the needle can be moved against Disney, people can make it move against JK Rowling. Stop the flow of money into her accounts,
If you protested Jimmy Kimmel being pulled off the air by canceling Disney+ or some similarly simple action that had clear, direct, effective results, it feels good that you helped get him back, right? The neat part of you can choose another simple action, and keep that awesome feeling going.

Just a reminder before the “big announcement” today.

Autism was discovered in 1911 and the modern definition of Autism came in 1943.

Tylenol wasn’t widely used until the 1950s.

Anyone trying to tell you that Tylenol causes Autism isn’t someone that should be taken seriously.
