Managed to get Watson's anti-black racism into my undergrad lectures on genome variation this week while he was still alive. Along with Richard Lynn's anti-Irish racism. Unfortunately all these lists could have been much longer than I made them.

Part of the undergrad Cell/Developmental Biology lab, waiting for the first group of students to arrive and generate their own GAL4 enhancer traps yesterday.... the results of their labours at the end of the day... and a whale keeping its beady eye on me during a short lunch break at the Whale Cafe.

This is how residents used to warn of army patrols in the Troubles in Belfast (the bin lids were eventually changed to rubber)

No, I haven't tried either dye. 395nm looks good for Alexa405 (72%), less good for DAPI, but should still work (27%). It must also depend on the filter specs.

Maybe - it'll depend on the laser line (or excitation source) and filter set. You can visualise excitation and emission spectra here, and I've attached the spectra for the two dyes. www.fpbase.org/spectra/

An ex-Professor from Kent who takes objection to too many Mischlinge Ersten Grades in London. Recently interviewed by snake-in-the-grass Michael Gove for the Spectator. Trumpian fascism seems to be making UK grifters ever more shameless.

And bears still shit in the woods.

Yes, the sun can shine in Ireland. Pictures this week from Co. Derry.

Well done indeed.
P.S. I came across this picture in Lisbon a couple of years ago....

You can also make your own here (screenshot from me). People sometimes make their own list of personal favourites that they follow; alternatively theme-based ones, e.g. possible lists could be Irish Diplomatic Affairs... Ireland and the EU. Haven't made any myself, but am on quite a few.
