I laughed at loud. These people are so pathetic; our enemies are numbskulls. They will kill us all and still not know hs physics.

COWEN: The stupidest question possible: Why don’t we just make more GPUs?

ALTMAN: Because we need to make more electrons.

Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

It's not necessarily a death knell but watching the Democrats continue on appeasing their donors while ignoring their base and larger constituency convinces me this country probably isn't salvageable within my lifetime. Oh well.

Getting the urge to move to NH and run for office
Agree.

Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."

This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

Truly amazing that any time the democrats have to bite the bullet and do something that ruins countless lives, there's always *just* enough votes to get it done, but if there is a vote on something that would actually improve people's lives, they are always one vote short. Crazy how that happens.

Much like 2024, Democrats seem to think there’s a binary choice in the 2026 election between voting for Republicans (evil) and voting for Democrats (feckless).

They rarely acknowledge the third option which inevitably harms them the most: staying home.

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

I haven't watched Pluribus yet but the reviews and comments are giving me Alien: Earth vibes (which I did watch). Oh wow action! Oh wow suspense! Oh wow mystery! Hang on this story sucks and doesn't make a lick of sense if you actually think about it. The first season ends HOW?!?!?

Truly amazing to watch pundits and people who claim to be instructors at higher education institutions completely misunderstand politics and economic systems. Political "science" is just as much vibes as business "school" and the dumbest people alive rise to the top.
