These are my OrthoFeet shoes. I just wanted “athletic” shoes with a slightly wider toe box cuz I’ll be walking and running in them. These are Moravia style. They only say OrthoFeet out of sight. ;)

That’s almost how I felt with “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”. I didn’t cry but the world did come to a stop and didn’t start turning again for 4 minutes and 20 seconds.

Besides lake freighters, I also see tons of ice fishermen and huts on the lake once the ice is thick enough.

Lake freighters try rocking the boat back and forth to get through the ice, just like cars do. No such luck for Indy today. She had to wait on Samuel “Big Sam” Risley, a Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker/buoy tender, to arrive to help her out.

I usually go to Lake St Clair Metropark on days when I’m not working. Quite often I see lake freighters crossing the lake up- or downbound, usually at around 10-12 knots. Today I saw the Indiana Harbor and it took me a while to realize it wasn’t moving.

Here’s the Harvest Spirit downbound thru Lake St Clair to Windsor. They had an eventful voyage, from grounding in the St Mary’s River after leaving the Soo Locks to needing help to get thru the ice in the St Clair River delta.
