Exactly why I stopped dating. It was only ever about the hook up, it seemed.
It feels very silly that I spend so much effort to be a person who is interesting, kind, considerate, funny, thoughtful, informed, curious, smart and good looking but men won't go to therapy, the gym, or ask what books I'm reading.

I noticed on my walk today that someone had put ice down at Columbia Square and the sidewalk around it. But I just looked at the forecast for tomorrow and it's for plus temps and rain. A waste of salt & polluting waterways for nothing?

This is where I feel I am with what I feel are my declining abilities in many areas.
And I don't know if the answer is: everyone is too traumatized to do work and we need to reinvent society. Or if it's more like: generations are losing their cognitive abilities and willpower due to destructive technologies. Or: we all have post-viral brain damage. Or: all of the above.

Taking the bus in Surrey is a crapshoot. When it's good, it's good. When it's bad, it's abominable. Always overcrowded either way, however.

I vote for Agnes and 10th to get some bump outs & other traffic calming before the two new towers full of drivers are built. It used to be safe to cross here, but over the past 4 years it is now so dangerous. Drivers don't slow down at all.

When I was at UVic oh so long ago, I was aware of Buy Nothing Day as the last Friday in November. I had no idea until a few years ago when Canada & the world started fetishizing Black Friday that the former was a reaction to the latter.

Coinamatic is useless. 2 of 5 washing machines in my building broken today. Always at least 1 down every time I come down to do laundry. These machines are so old.

Neighbourhood continues to get uglier and more crowded. I no longer even look out the windows because there's nothing to see.

Oh, I just LOVE when the condo complex construction crews work on Saturdays. So happy to have my only daylight hours in my home RUINED by their noise. On to Plan B for this afternoon, I guess.

My mental health has taken a toll over the 6 years I have lived next to all this construction noise. My home is not at all a place to relax. I cannot wait until life will allow me to move away somewhere quieter. Or at least with soundproofed windows.

The Dougie College construction site closed the Royal sidewalk again today. Detour is around another part of Agnes where the road and sidewalk are also closed. Safety first.
