40 yr old crazy lady that tries to make her entire personality learning science, listening to metal, watching horror, reading smut, and being a proud leftist
Just finished Vicious by V.E. Schwab, solid book. I enjoyed it. I’ve figured out I can knock out a 9 hr audiobook in about 2-3 days, so that’s cool. The book I’m reading, Rhapsodic, on the other hand I’m about to DNF. Not a fan of grooming age gap bullshit.

Am I the only one that thinks a 20 foot wingspan on a character in a book is flipping Ridiculous? TWENTY?! And the guy is built like your typical romance male character at like 6 foot something. Wouldn’t it be more realistic if it was like 10 feet across?

The only downside to using a percolator is the coffee is way too goddamn hot to drink for hours! Made my coffee 75 minutes ago and it’s still hot enough to scald. I just want my friggen caffeine fix 🫠

Learned a new favorite Bible verse today as an atheist;

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid. Proverbs 12:1

Can Christians please start following these other verses in the Bible that aren’t trash? Please?

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

Fellow vinyl collectors, do you purchase an album for one song or the whole thing? I only buy albums for the artist’s entire vision. If I fall in love with only a single song, I’ll just listen to it on Apple music. I only want albums I love, not 30 records for only 30 songs.

How many hobbies do normal people participate in? I feel like I have a lot. I feel like I need to be learning or practicing something all the time.My son calls me a nerd because I fill my day with reading, crosswords, origami, sewing, cross stitch, plants/gardening, learning German, coding and chess

Rural communities and people with disabilities will have even more limited access to health care. Families with low incomes who rely most heavily on community clinics and health departments will have fewer resources available to them. Children will lose access to lifesaving vaccines due to cost.
