More layers to the Peace mural. Our creative process parallels that of how we grapple with peace, conflict, order and chaos in the “big picture”. (One of the students neutralized the prominence of both chaos and peace by writing the word “neutral” across them.)

I’m working on the most important artwork of my life with a group of high school students & I’m going about it in the most haphazard way. I have no idea where it’s going. Apt, considering the state of affairs in our country right now, and the fact that this mural is supposed to be about peace. 🤔

One piece of good news in the torrent of bad. Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” is one of the most dynamic albums I’ve ever heard. I’m not usually a fan, but kudos to those bestowing the Grammy to this amazing artist.
