Erkut Sogut — who has no GM/TD/SD experience — is apparently a near-lock to get what is arguably the most difficult GM job in MLS (a rubble-clearing job that will take years, with a boiling-mad fanbase, and an ownership that has fired its last 2 GMs after less than 2 years).
Barring a late change, Sogut will take the reins soon and initially work remotely, per source. He has lived in Germany, UK and Southern California.

Presumably, this means DC will go to the 2 DP 4 U22 roster model which will net them a $1 million in GAM to assist with this rebuild. But man... what a waste 2025 has been. #DCU
