Yes I went to the bookshop today and bought a book, but it's non-fiction so that doesn't count, right? 💙📚

Finished reading the final book in the Rotstorm trilogy last night - one of those experiences where the page count is dwindling and you can't imagine how the hell this is all going to wrap up in time. 😱 Definitely one of my favourite series ever. A must-read for fantasy fans. 💙📚

Totally recommend The Spice Gate by Prashanth Srivatsa if you want something besides the stereotypical medieval fantasy. The worldbuilding, commentary on religion and caste... 👌

Well, this is promising: "new and experimental ideas and methods in art, music, or literature."

My ebook hold is ready 😍

"Karys Eska is a deathspeaker, locked into an irrevocable compact with Sabaster, a terrifying eldritch being—three-faced, hundred-winged, unforgiving—who has granted her the ability to communicate with the newly departed." 📚💙

I loved The Gauntlet and the Fist Beneath by Ian Green, looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy! Everything I want in a fantasy novel: tough yet vulnerable characters, intriguing religion/history, magic, dash of romance, violence, non-human races, cool worldbuilding, & badass slogans. 💙📚

Big fan of China Mieville, intrigued to see what this is like. 💙📚

Just finished reading the dystopian climate fiction novel Lost Ark Dreaming by Suyi Davies Okungbowa. All the way through I kept thinking what a great movie this would make. 💙📚

Just finished reading Gogmagog by Noon & Beard. Very entertaining, would definitely recommend if you like weird fantasy. 📚 It's got:

👵 a crotchety old woman main character
🐉 ghost dragons
⚓a quest
🌱 green magic (among others)
📖 prose and worldbuilding reminiscent of Mieville's Bas-Lag

Just finished book 2 of @aptshadow.bsky.social's The Final Architecture trilogy (totally compelling btw) and feel like now's the time to share that I've been picturing the Architects as inspired by the sun from Soul Eater...
