Steam Deck is the superior device though. Glad to see it's getting burn across different friend groups.

I think I'm at 8 PS5s, 3 Switch 2s, and 2 Xbox Series, 3 Steam Decks (including me).

I think the formerly split console market ("next gen" devices that prioritize graphics and online play) between Xbox and PS has tilted toward PS without more console gamers being added.

That and FTP games keep roping ppl in, and I still think console is the most straightforward way to play them.

But it all stems from their use of language. And this is where their personality starts becoming very visible, because they'll just start saying things that were unspoken before. Random thoughts and ideas, quips, mimicking scoldings we give him and directing them at his older brother 😭😭😭😭

The reason this is so important is because of how unlocking that language opens up new possibilities for communication. Now we can negotiate terms of engagement with him when it comes to things he would previously throw a tantrum about. And now we can rig the terms in our favor as parents do.

But now? It starts at some point, and then your toddler is rapidly developing their conversation skills. 6 months later, he's using sentences with multiple subjects, compound ideas, and identifying things you haven't even given him the words for yet. Everything starts coming together in a few months
