Probably a good idea. Unfortunately I don't have a static IP, but disabled password authentication at least.

I'm no expert, but I would assume backdrop-filter makes a copy of the background, applies the filter, then paints that on top of the background? In which case the opacity filter only allows the identical background to show through?

Safari 17 on MacOS looks like Epiphany, but it is unstable and changes as I resize the frame. Occasionaly looks like the expected picture.
