This 'sense of motion' may be desirable sometimes, but it could cause trouble in situations where the icon is meant to indicate that the *present* location is accessible. Marina finds that these icons — especially the increasingly popular Accessible Icon Project icon — are strong directional cues. For example, they automatically orient spatial attention in the direction that they are facing.
