Being an old nerd/geek in 2025 is annoying. Coming to terms with I'll never get eight people together to play a giant game about establishing civilizations in the ancient world or a monster like World In Flames. Going through complete old Warhammer stuff and it's not even worth it to put on eBay.

I messed up. I wanted to go to PAX Unplugged this year and I forgot it existed until yesterday when a coworker lost his shit at "kids today" because he saw someone buying coffee in the lobby with big fake animal ears on.

It's saturday at work. you know what that means- work on my 2026 planner/habit tracker before doing Spanish homework and working on the shelves i am building for my workshop.

first monday off in a couple weeks after a slew of six-day workweeks. Had off Saturday and took my wife to the dentist for surgery. Yesterday was kind of a wash except for doing wash and vacuuming and mopping upstairs and the stairs. Today has been different- doing a one for me and one for us deal:

A girl who liked me made me a copy of this in 1990 and I told her I thought it was "too dancey- like guido music" and you know what? I stand by that despite the fact that within 20 years almost every industrial band from this era went edm. I am still insufferable now as I was as a 14 year old.

I don't have the patience for people who are really cynical about The No Kings rallies. Sometimes it's enough to know that you're not alone. Also, the most cynical people about it are the most miserable internet addicts.

I'd like to credit Dr. Omaha Boy at Rutgers University for instilling in me a lifelong love of learning about native American history and the National Museum of the American Indian for teaching me how native American communities keep their traditions alive. Happy #IndigenousPeoplesDay
