Went out to see the tulips in Skagit valley and walked around. There are so many flowers here in the spring it is crazy.

Took the pup up Bridal Veil Falls. Said it was an easy trail but it wound up being really steep with narrow rocky scrambles and lots of streams to cross. Super proud of this kid for how well he listened and climbed on this one. Beautiful trail and woods, & view at the top was SO worth the effort!

I’ve been a bit withdrawn the past few months finding the life I want, but I’m gonna try to start posting some of our Washington and travel here. First big hike the pup did up Rattlesnake ledge and he did amazing. 5 miles with 1200 ft elevation gain and amazing views.

Super cozy and cute dog friendly cafe 5 min walk from home. Got a delicious gingerbread chai and kiddo got some turkey from the nice lady working the counter. Definitely gonna be a regular here. 💚

Made it to Seattle! Place is tiny and cozy and I’ll have to be careful not to hit my head going down the stairs but it’s gonna be great for us for the next few months! Unpacking and settling in and then some local exploring tomorrow! 💚💚

I’m so endlessly proud of this kid and love him so so much. Tonight in the 7th new place to sleep in as many days, he came in, sniffed around, cleaned his dinner, and settled right in with his bone and now he’s just snuggling and snoring. He’s taken all this upheaval so well 💚💚

Grand Canyon today! Adventure dog did amazing and everyone that passed said “shoes” and asked to take his picture. He even got awarded Jr Ranger status by one of the park employees (little badge on backpack in last photo). So proud of this kid with how well he’s traveling.

Final total for today is 898 miles driven in 12.5 hours and I did all but 1 hr of it. I’m toast. But now it’s only 2 hours to the grand canyon in the morning and a bit more relaxing day.

Started in Texas. Currently in New Mexico, will stop in Arizona for the night, about 750 miles covered today. I’m not a desert person but it is pretty out here. Grand Canyon tomorrow!

Turns out being able to dissociate at Olympic levels is great for long road trips. I just hauled 5 hours across nothing Texas and barely noticed.
