It's the full moon! The June moon is commonly known as the Strawberry moon after Native American traditions, but English names may have included Flower Moon or Hay Moon from the Anglo-Saxons, or Mead Moon or Horse Moon from the Celts. Possibly -- it's hard to find sources for a lot of moon names!

Keep an eye on the skies tonight, it's the full Worm Moon 🪱 This moon symbolises renewal and fertility, and the name is reflects the thawing of the ground and emergence of worms from the earth and tree bark.

But while we adore Nutmeg, it's sadly not all sunshine 😔 Her mother Sorrel's health never recovered, and after fighting for as long as she could, she tragically passed away last year. Sorrel was every bit as precious and adored as Nutmeg, and the team was absolutely devastated from her loss 💔

Yesterday we hosted the very bravest and hardiest of local teens... Through one of the wettest, muddiest days yet this year, they managed to plant over 100 native trees, build a wattle fence, landscape our new Saxon garden, and start work on a woven Mesolithic shelter!
