'Made-up quote' in Canadian satire site The Beaverton fools Time Magazine | CBC News
In a recent article about the United States' strained relationships with other countries, Time Magazine included a made-up quote from Canadian satire site The Beaverton — seemingly as fact.

Holy shit.

I'm so glad to be getting out of tech and into a field where I can't be terminally online anymore. The discourse has become so disgusting.

Enten: "Canada is far more popular than Donald Trump is here in the United States. The net popularity of Canada is +49. Trump is -10. We're talking about Canada coming out nearly 60 points ahead on the net popularity ratings versus Donald Trump here in the US"

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing all the Republicans blame the Texans for not spending more, the same way Republicans blame Canada for the 25-35% drop in Canadian visitors to the US.
Texans can no longer afford the state fair in Donald Trump's economy. Or they fear the secret police. Or both. Either way, this represents nearly a 20% DROP in attendance over last year.

Republicans have managed to kill a huge revenue source for the state and hundreds of businesses.
State Fair of Texas sees 400,000 drop in attendance compared to 2024, with cost cited as key factor by families
The 2025 State Fair of Texas drew about 2 million visitors, roughly 400,000 fewer than last year, as many families cited affordability concerns.

Pete Hegseth conducted a live fire exercise over I-5 as part of a made-for-Fox stunt for him and Vance which had a misfire that struck a Highway Patrol vehicle and could have killed people?

Who could have foreseen this?

A much-deserved win for someone who has put her life on the line for democracy in Venezuela.
BREAKING

The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Maria Corina Machado for “her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”
October 10, 2025 at 10:08 AM
Trump will view this as his losing to a woman from Venezuela, regardless of the actual merits.
The question is, is he going to try and sue or double down on being 'anti-peace' since he didn't win.

Not Stephen Miller accidentally outting the regime in an interview. Let that "plenary authority" claim slip right out and then had to act like the audio cut out.

Sir! We heard you.. and the President does NOT have plenary authority.
