Always take the lane! If a driver /must/ pass, it forces them to do it in a way that minimizes risk to you - see how the driver in this clip uses the oncoming lane in the first encounter when I am taking the full lane, but cuts close to me in the second when I don't take the full lane.

Flexposts are no protection against negligent driving, evidenced by the steady destruction of this on-street lockup zone on King St. Street designs that rely on flexposts, or worse, paint on the asphalt, provide no tangible protection to vulnerable road users. Nothing a couple of bollards can't fix.

The predictable result of an overbuilt roadway is reckless driving that damages our public spaces and endangers vulnerable road users. The changes to Eisenhower Ave that passed last summer can't come fast enough.
