It’s much easier to be right wing in this world. You can destroy things. Assault people. Kill people. Wreck economies. Appeal to people base emotions in blaming the other guy for the things you’ve destroyed/assaulted/killed/wrecked. It’s easy.

Also, it certainly is *everyone’s* job to convince people of the right thing to do when it comes to civic engagement in a society. This idea that we can simply stick our heads in the sand because “it’s not our job” to teach has set all progressive politics by multiple generations.

Who said anything about women teaching men anything? I’m looking for solutions here. Not blame. I think it’s part of the problem that as soon as men have a problem a lot of other people say “hey! It’s not women’s fault!” Yeah, duh. That’s an entirely different sentence than what I said.

Seems that all these weird little misogynists are someone’s brother, husband, father, son. And any kind of societal healing is going to require some form of national deprogramming. So what really is the problem is the cause isn’t real or male-specific? I have ideas, but I’d like to hear yours.

Seems like enough senators still have “senate institution” brain. I imagine a lot of glad handing and smoke-filled room wheeling and dealing. It doesn’t seem like giving up to them because they’re all friends.

Teenage boys and young men have seen the biggest increase in suicides, biggest increases in depression, biggest increases in addiction, largest degradation in incomes, in educational achievement, etc. And it isn’t just “white ones.” Maybe therapy is a good option. But why and why at this scale?
