Grammar Spotlight: は〜の一つだ ✨

💡 Used when you want to say “one of (many)” — perfect for describing something that belongs to a larger group!

🧩 Structure:

Noun (A) + は + (Category) Noun (B) + の一つ + だ

🗣️ Example

ホンダは車のメーカーの一つだ。🚗
Honda wa kuruma no mēkā no hitotsu da.
Honda is one of many car makers.

🎓 N4 Grammar: (Amount) + は
✨ Meaning: At least / Or so

📖 Example:

クリスマスぐらいは家に帰って来てね?
Kurisumasu gurai wa ie ni kaette kite ne?
➡️ Won’t you come home for Christmas, at least? 🎄

💡 Use は after an amount to highlight contrast → “at least this much.”

✨【なおす vs つづける】✨

Both can attach to other verbs, but they mean different things:

🔁 〜なおす (naosu) = to re-do something
▶️ やりなおす → to do again

➡️ 〜つづける (tsuzukeru) = to continue doing something
▶️ 勉強しつづける → to keep studying

Attach だす to a verb stem when something suddenly begins or bursts out.

👉 Ame ga furidashita → It suddenly started to rain
👉 Ano ko wa nakidashita → The child suddenly started crying

だす (dasu) is used when something suddenly begins.

👉 Hon o yomi owatta → I finished reading the book

👉 Ame ga furidashita → It started to rain

Use Noun + が + 見える to say something can be seen, is visible, or seems.

👀 Example:

Used when something can be heard naturally 🎶

🗣 外がうるさいからテレビの音がよく聞こえない。
👉 Soto ga urusai kara terebi no oto ga yoku kikoenai.
(It’s noisy outside so I can’t hear the TV well.)

💡 聞こえる = sound reaches you
聞く = actively listen
