Had some buddies in town this weekend, and while SD was a great departure from the midwest for them - we got in about 6 movies this weekend. Clearing out that backlog!

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

Enten: "This is probably the worst 10 day period for the president in the polls his entire second term. The numbers are just atrocious ... when your best poll has you 14 points underwater, you know it's truly bad and it's as bad as 26 points underwater ... -43 with independents! They despise him."

And to think the Dems aren’t even doing anything. This is a culmination of many unenforced errors by the GOP.
A new Marist poll of registered voters has Democrats holding a 14-point lead over Republicans in a generic congressional ballot.

55% would back a Democratic candidate. 41% would back a Republican.

Doubling down is quite the plan after last night lol
Trump: "They're gonna make DC a state and they're gonna make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states, four senators. They're gonna pick up electoral votes. It's gonna be a very, very bad situation. Now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll most likely never obtain power."

Writing a new DND campaign for some camp people. Does anyone else use music to set the vibe when writing out the lore?

We’re witnessing history defining movements.
No Kings protest kicking off in Washington, D.C. Here’s the view down Pennsylvania Avenue from near the front. Street is totally packed for blocks.

There’s also the massive likelihood they’re ALSO just incompetent and poorly trained
ICE is randomly targeting peaceful protesters because the point is to terrorize the public into accepting martial law.

Indiscriminate attacks send the message that there’s nothing you can do to stay safe.

The regime wants you to cower at home and cede the streets of your city to their control.

Who’s gonna be left to even support these guys?
This administration wants to punish federal workers. These threats are illegal point blank. We could be working together to end this Republican government shutdown but Russ Vought and POTUS would rather threaten and harass the federal workforce.

This further advances their goal of destroying higher education in its entirety.
A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.
