Earlier today, I joined BBC’s Focus on Africa to discuss President Tinubu’s pardon of 175 convicts.

I emphasised the dangers of such a decision and drew attention to the cases of Maryam Sanda, Farouk Lawan and the Ogoni Nine.

Boko Haram killed 33 in fresh attacks in Borno, torching homes and churches. The group is regrouping around Lake Chad and Sambisa. Without urgent action to disrupt them, the violence will spread. A stitch in time saves nine. #Nigeria #Security #BokoHaram
