The genre of mainstream writing about games that is "go to a space I've never visited or understood to find out what's *really* going on" only ever ends up with a story that is "I found lots of bad stuff!!! can you believe this?" at a surface-level, lacking context, insight or any solutions.

Educated NRL fans knew the Bulldogs were fraudulent pretenders. They derailed themselves with all the Reed/Sexton/Galvin stuff. Now a pathetic effort that helps play Penrith into title form. Credit to Penrith. Been perfect. Brian To’o is a beast & just as important to Penriths success as Cleary.

Arts criticism & journalism being reduced to marketing is incredibly depressing, and I am thankful for the approximately six people/outlets in the BG space who actually do criticism and/or journalism. I don't condemn the rest but I do feel sorry for them.

It’s wild that Mario Kart World Time Trial mode doesn’t give you a best lap time or break down all of your lap times and only shows one completed time. Even the leaderboards aren’t numbered. Shows you the top 10 overall & top 10 in front of you. One of my favourite MK8 modes ruined

The amount of “Xbox Play Anywhere, World Premiere, Play it Day One with Game Pass & Xbox Games Studios Presents” transition screens in that showcase were tedious, messy & destroyed any flow. Pretty meh showing. Is Perfect Dark still a thing?

My first rewatch of Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning since seeing it at the cinema is actively making me not want to see the new one. Feels soulless, over relies on the score in every scene and bizarrely looks like a TV movie? Feels every bit of its runtime.
