The good vibes of that Bucks win went down real smooth after the decidedly not good vibes of that Essendon loss.

Barracking against Melbourne is joy of childlike simplicity. I’m not considering listening to structure or player development or game plan or all the other crap I think about when I watch Essendon. I just get to sit there and hope Melbourne loses and someone else wins, it’s awesome.

Not a necessarily a great win for the Bucks today but potentially a very important one.

Still don’t look close to being a contender but at least if they can grab a decent seed they put themselves in a position where an outlier performance by the Giannis and Dame could mean something.

Nice to be able to enjoy the conclusion of one of the most captivating seasons of test cricket and be distracted from the fact that the Bucks are busy trudging through one of their least captivating seasons since for almost a decade.

NBA Cup final aside that’s a big W for the Bucks. They ain’t catching the Cavs or Celtics but every win against the teams 3-9 at the moment is gold in the quest for avoiding the play in/hosting in the first round.

Weird for the AFL feature Essendon in so many ‘marquee’ Thursday and Friday night games in 2025. I wouldn’t be surprised if are mired in the bottom third of the ladder and focus on development. We are going to be one of the youngest lists in the comp and that doesn’t often translate to winning.
