New NATO boss MUST come from a country that meets its spending commitments. If he (or preferably she) doesn't, it sends a poor message to allies and enemies.

It’s taken a war to do it but yes, Moldova is finally on the map. Having an enormously capable leader has helped of course. Bucharest’s politicians predictably annoyed by DC visit: further confirmation that the days when Moldova’s westward ambitions went through the Romanian capital are over.
