Guidelines: Before you send a request or sign up as a reader, please read the following: 1. Confirmation messages will be sent within 48 hours. Make sure your DMs are open or that you’re following the account on x and/or bsky. 2. Request and sign-up forms are now separated by age. 3. Pairings/Collaborations will be made through emails only. 4. Pitches will be made through email (for readers who selected email or bsky) or x DM. 5. Allow me at least 12 hours before getting back to your inquiries/questions/chats/DMs. 6. The services is here to provide beta reading assistance from pre-writing to post-writing, i.e., brainstorming, proofreading, and posting. On behalf of the beta readers, I ask writers to credit your beta readers after the collaboration.

Hello! This is Charlie 🌸 I hope you’re all doing well! It’s been 3 wonderful years with you guys (it feels forever tbh because I know almost all of the readers who have been part of the account, who can work with a certain trope, and who would love to work with this ship T^T). I’m really delighted that despite my slow pacing, you remain patient and understanding. Thank you so much! Despite all the challenges with real life while keeping this account active; all the spreadsheets I need to update, and responses from beta readers I am slowly corresponding back, you all remain supportive and trusting. I am thankful for all of you. You’re all aware that the account usually goes on hiatus at least twice a year. And since I’ve been working solo for almost two years now, I wish to inform everyone that I will need a longer time off from accepting sign-ups and requests. Hence, I’m informing everyone that BTS Beta Reader Services will be on HITAUS from December 8, 2024, to January 6, 2025. All forms will be CLOSED. It’s longer than our 2-week hiatus but since I am making slow progress with updating our spreadsheets and will do our yearly beta reader renewal sign-up (members’ list), alongside real-life demand, a month without taking requests will help me get everything updated. During our Hiatus from Dec. 8, 2024, to Jan. 6, 2025, know that DMs & emails are open to any concerns. I will close the forms on said dates but communications will be open at least thrice a week for check-ins, updates, and questions. I hope this is clear. You’ve all been wonderful creators and members of the ff community. I sincerely mean it when I say that BTS Beta Reader Services won’t be possible without all your desire to read, create, share stories, collaborate, and show love for the craft and the tannies. Again, thank you so much for your continued patience, understanding, and support. Please always stay healthy and safe💜

Hi hi!! This is a reminder that you're always allowed to leave the beta reader team anytime. And I would appreciate it greatly if you’d let me know 😔 If you have to leave a collaboration, please message me and/or your writer. Don’t ghost your writer :< Lately, fics must be pitched at least three times to get a response TT And I understand irl can be too much. Because same :] But it would help me and save my and the writer's time if I knew that the readers I message are willing to be part of the team. Or at least, can respond to me within 48 hours (with a stretch of 60 hrs). I also would like to remind writers to be courteous and respectful to your readers. It’s not mandatory by the services, but if you mentioned/promised your readers that you’d give them credit for their help, it’d be nice if you kept to your word. This is one of the greatest ways to motivate your beta reader!! And finally, a reminder that I make the matches by preference. If the fic has a couple of restrictions and trigger warnings, understand that looking for a reader would take time. Right now, including myself, the team has only 4 active beta readers with zero trigger warnings. Take note of your deadlines and timeframe. If you’re a reader who hasn’t received any pitches yet, it’s because your preferences do not match with the current request(s). For example, limited ships and tropes, not comfortable with urgent fics, can’t work with multiple fics simultaneously, and/or the type of beta reading assistance you’ve indicated didn’t meet at least 3 of the items needed in the request form. (I know they’re found on the signup form but just want to repeat it for clarification). That being said, I hope this helps! And I really hope you’ll communicate with me more, especially the beta readers. Fanfic writing/reading should be fun and enjoyable. If you start feeling like it’s some sort of a job you begin to hate or exhaust you, then stepping away is definitely encouraged and okay. Just please inform me so I can pick up from where you left off, rebuild/end collaborations, and won’t leave anyone behind. Thank you so much!! -Charlie
