We gave my dad a beautiful sendoff in El Paso, TX, yesterday. This is how we do it — a charro serenading him with his favorite Mexican love songs.

Hands Off rally and march in Dallas, TX. Peaceful. Maybe two thousand people. Police were helpful and respectful. No counter protests.

Sometimes you need to take a break from the world. We walked the dog and visited with the eastern bluebirds today.

Made my daily calls to my senators then took a walk with the spouse and the dog and saw these beautiful eastern bluebirds. Male and female. Rest up, friends. Take a breather when you need to.

This is one of my senators. He doesn’t work for me. He works for himself and his enrichment.

What DHS says about ICE being able to go into churches and schools. Too bad they don’t hold the same respect for the officers beaten by the J6 thugs freed by FOTUS.

Saw this beautiful red shouldered hawk while walking the dog this afternoon. Wonder if it caught a meal; we get hit by cold rain and snow tomorrow.

When I picked this book up at my local independent bookstore today the young clerk said to me that this book “about the insurrection” is very timely. No trying to call it a peaceful protest or a day of love or some BS. She called it what was: an insurrection. Glad for people who still get it.

Saw this wonderful skater at Rockefeller Center in NY last weekend and seeing their joy brought me joy. Before Nov. 5 I registered young voters, answered their questions, texted and made myself available to help them through ED. Still fighting but taking my rest and joy where I find it.
